Niki Yan was invited by Tom Cruise to visit the set of 'Mission Impossible 3' after he was moved by her story. And she was also interviewed by the E! Entertainment Television. This book tells the story of a young Chinese village girl who came to Hollywood to pursue her American dream after she was inspired by 'Top Gun'.

Yan says she's proud that China hosted the 2008 Olympics in Beijing last month. "I can't wait to go back to China to visit. I miss my country. I miss my family."

After living in the U.S. for several years, the Chinese born writer/actress finally accomplished her American Dream, and she's expecting this book to be made into a film, hopefully with Cruise, the actor who inspired her in the first place.
