Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Presents Kinko For President At Fleisher Art Memorial: 8:00 PM, Thursday, 11 September 2008
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 20, 2008 -- As the 2008 presidential election draws near, the American people demand a new kind of leader. With Kinko for President, New York's own critically acclaimed Bindlestiff Family Cirkus offers the big-top solution.
Kinko the Clown stands for change... spare change. He's willing to do whatever it takes to bamboozle the public. And when it comes to throwing his hat in the ring, Kinko can't be beat --- from hat tricks to juggling hats, this clown is your candidate.
The Kinko campaign will be in Philadelphia to stump for votes on Thursday, September 11th, 2008! The Samuel Fleisher Art Memorial in South Philadelphia will play host to this cavalcade of mirth, whimsy and chicanery.
Bindlestiff Family Cirkus's newest production is a full-force spectacle, where the circus meets the media circus, sideshow marvels meet campaign carnivals, and the audience meets one of this country's oldest traditions -- the variety arts. Like all political campaigns, Kinko's campaign will include sleight of hand, tightrope acts, death-defying feats, slapstick comedy, and more.
Joining Kinko to help drive home his message will be his crack political team: Ringmistress Philomena, queen of the wire Ariele Ebacher, and spinmeister Adam Kuchler. It will be a stellar night of classic variety that promises something for everyone: circus, sideshow, vaudeville and burlesque presented in unique Bindlestiff style.
Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.
It's time to put a real clown in the White House --- Kinko for President.
Tickets: $18 online or $20 at the door ($18 for Fleisher members). Tickets are available online through Brown Paper Tickets. Doors open at 7:30 PM. You must be at least 18 years of age -- old enough to vote -- to enter.
Prize offer: Dress with your patriotism or the Bill of Rights as your fashion bible and receive a fabulous prize! Some suggested iconic images to get those red, white and blue creative juices flowing: Gobstopper Pearls and Republican Red; Spray-tanned Back-combed Newscaster; Libated Libertarian; Party Animal Donkey or Elephant; Purple State Bi-Partisan; Blue State Bon Vivant, etc.

In 2004 Bindlestiff instituted its annual children's performance program, the Cavalcade of Youth, in which young performers and technical staff (ages 8-20) have the opportunity to hone their skills with variety arts professionals.
