Partners Melissa Hall Klepacki and Amy Senftleben who started Hip Kid Art so they would have modern art in their own children's rooms have gathered new inspiration as they are parents to toddlers themselves. "When Connor was afraid to go to sleep saying the 'monsters would get him' I quickly drew a crazy monster on a piece of paper and scrawled 'No Monster's In Connor's Room' on it and it did the trick. The sign made him feel protected. I took my design to canvas and this series was born," said designer Amy Senftleben.
