The Art Institute of Phoenix Gives Their Graduating Students a Leg Up in Business Thanks to Author and Design Business Expert, Jeremy Tuber

Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) March 9, 2008 -- Design students who are graduating from The Art Institute of Phoenix, will now have a distinct advantage over other students in the Creative Freelance Design business world.

Author, Jeremy Tuber, with his book Being a Starving Artist Sucks will be on hand to share new ideas on how to go from Graphic Design Zero to Creative Freelance Hero. Tuber will provide design business success ideas to graduating students on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Phoenix Art Institute.

Ginny Lopez, Assistant Director of Career Services and Keith Bennett, Academic Director for Graphic Design has agreed that Tuber's ideas and methods will be a hit with students.

Ginny Lopez observed, "Being a Starving Artist Sucks has been quite a hit with all of the Career Advisors, and we've even shared it with a couple of students. He has a lot of pertinent information to share - our students will eat this up!"

In his presentation, Jeremy Tuber will talk about the biggest challenge that creative freelancers face in running their business - how to find and attract desirable clients. In addition to demystifying several misconceptions on how to find clients, he'll share his own approach to building a client base.

He will also discuss how to sell what clients or employers really want to buy, negotiating strategies for maximum money and the biggest misconceptions designers have about freelancing.

This fact-filled 60-minute presentation will include specific instruction on how to launch a freelance design business or career. Tuber will include strategies for objection overturns and low cost, successful methods of marketing a creative freelance design business.

Students and Alumni of The Art Institute may attend this information packed program for no-charge. To register call 602.678.4300. The event will also be recorded and available on the Being a Starving Artist Sucks Web site at http://www.beingastarvingartistsucks.com/speakingEngagements.htm after March 15, 2008.
